I invite you to experience a healing modality that has been around since 2 BC. A holistic approach to treating disease and illness that links the body, mind, and emotions, acupuncture offers a drug-free alternative for pain relief while also effectively treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses. It also aids in disease and illness prevention as well as the maintenance of overall health.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are utilised in private practise, hospitals, and assisted living homes and are recognised and registered in the health system by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Isabel Gordon

Isabel graduated as an Exercise Physiologist from the University of Sussex, UK in 1989. As a rep in athletics for Great Britain, she experienced the elation of high-level competition and then the pain and frustration of missing out on furthering her career due to repetitive surgery. Years of debilitating back pain lead her to explore massage and then Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated from the Australian College of Natural Medicine with an Advanced Diploma in Acupuncture in 2002.

What to expect during a treatment?

After a brief consultation discussing your health concerns, Isabel will tailor a treatment to your individual needs. This may involve Cupping (a therapy by which cups are placed on the skin to create suction this releases stagnation, and can help alleviate pain and discomfort as well as soften tight muscles and joints) Moxa (made from mugwort, moxa is burnt and used indirectly near the skin to warm regions and acupuncture points with the intention of stimulating circulation) and massage. Future recommendations for herbal medicine, exercise therapy, and lifestyle changes may also be discussed.
